The Preemie System facilitates data removal requests from participating NICUs. The framework provides granular control, allowing NICUs to manage data ownership and accessibility at three distinct levels:

Level 1: Variable Removal
Remove a specific data variable (e.g., ‘Gestational Age’) → The system recalculates and reweights the model coefficients accordingly.
Level 2: Patient Data Removal
Permanently exclude selected patient records from all future training cycles → A model retraining is triggered to reflect this change.
Level 3: Full Dataset Withdrawal
Remove all local data from the system → The node stops contributing to the global model entirely.
