Diogo is a passionate Machine Learning professional specializing in analytical chemistry. He holds an MSc in Chemical Analysis and Characterisation Techniques (2019), for which he developed a novel data augmentation algorithm to upsample classes in chemical data problems. He is driven by the belief that the purposeful application of AI will lead to a brighter future.

In addition to his research, Diogo has hands-on experience solving industry problems using analytical methods like HPLC-MS and GC-MS. He also shares his expertise as a part-time instructor at the University of Minho, teaching data science applications for spectroscopy. Diogo has been with Tellspec since 2019 and currently serves as a Senior AI Scientist and Chemometrician.
