Hugo Alves is a Biochemist and Molecular Biologist with an M.Sc. from the University of Minho and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from NOVA University in Lisbon. He joined Tellspec in January 2024 as Director of the Medical Laboratory and Computational Biologist.

In his role as Director of the Medical Laboratory, Hugo is responsible for its overall operation, administration, and strategic direction. A key part of his work involves ensuring the analytical testing required for the medical certification of the Preemie Sensor.

As a Computational Biologist, he leverages computer science and statistics to analyze and model human milk and other biological data, driving insights into complex biological systems.
